Larry and Joseph both ran a successful independent contracting business for most of their time as general contractors and have over 18 years of combined GC experience. This initial isolation, of running an independent business, helped them both to develop a wide network of subcontractors and clients within the South Florida construction market.
Larry’s company, Maverick Construction, began with large scale tenant improvement projects and expanded into design-driven residential projects while Joseph's company, GCI Builders, had a history of large-scale residential remodels as well as industrial projects. The diversity of these projects and the experience gained from them made their efforts to collaborate on projects, beginning in early 2018, an immediate success. Their similar mentalities on customer service and quality control led them to create superior asset management in 2019 to better serve their customers. After a time, the solution to their continued growth through their joint ventures was obvious, and Maverick GCI Builders was formed to streamline that growth.

Larry Germi
Born and raised in Miami, Fl. Larry has spent his career involved in all aspects of construction, including commercial, industrial, and residential. Larry began in the commercial tenant improvement space, building office space for some of the biggest names in South Florida.
Larry quickly transitioned from field superintendent, into hybrid project management roles, and taking a more central role in client relations. Larry knew he wanted to run his own company one day, and worked towards that goal from the earlier days on construction sites, always looking to improve and expand his skills and knowledge of all things construction.
Larry received a Bachelor's degree from Florida State University in Economics and Finance. He obtained his Florida General Contractors license and is one of the qualifiers of Maverick GCI.
In his spare time, he can be found fishing offshore or diving the reefs of South Florida.
Over the last few years, with his positive attitude and boundless energy, Larry has helped grown Maverick GCI to something he has taken great pride in and will maintain the same level of service as his team grows and Maverick GCIs services expand.

Joseph Schriesheim
A South Florida native, Joseph has resided in Miami for the past thirty years and has bared witness to the cities ongoing development. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Business with a major in entrepreneurship in 2008. He has always been passionate about business, something instilled in him by his father, a distinguished professor of organizational behavior and leadership. His first construction-related job was at age 18 as a rough carpenter for a well-known custom home builder still active today.
Joseph has held a Certified Building Contractors license from the state of Florida since 2013. He has expertise in planning and project management and has acted as both a construction coordinator and on-site quality controller. He has worked in almost every trade and has the knowledge to know how things are put together. Completed projects range in diversity and include the renovations of a multi-million-dollar estates, expansion of a dry-cleaning facility, and conversion of a 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse into an FAA certified turbine engine repair facility.
His experience in estimating and project management brings great value to the team. Combined with Larry’s exceptional eye for detail and process, Maverick GCI is comfortably positioned to continue to grow as one of South Florida’s premier general contracting services.
